Include an additional 10% for wastage – why?

We always recommend following the 10% rule of ordering an additional 10% of tiling/paving to account for any offcuts and breakages that may happen in transit or during installation.

We won’t refund or replace any damaged products up to 10% of the total order value.

This additional percentage% can give you the peace of mind that even with offcuts and breakages, you’ll still be able to complete your project on the day. Further to this, each batch of tiles/paving is unique, so if you did require additional tiles due to offcuts and breakages, there is no guarantee these tiles will be the exact same as the previous batch – some differences may occur.

In simple terms, when tiling there will be many cuts that need to be made to fit the tiles neatly into a space, each cut means the other part of the tile becomes waste. Allowing 10% extra will ensure there will be enough tiles, without a ridiculous amount being left over.
